Offshore fishermen had a good day of snapper
fishing at the rigs. East and West Matagorda Bay both produced
a fair amount of trout today. Along the south shoreline in East
Bay there were two really nice trout caught - an eight-pounder
and a six-pounder. We also heard that Gold Tip Guide Service
came in Friday with a nine pound trout. |

Today was the last day of the Troutmasters tournament,
and what a day for fishing! The wind was blowing so hard that
it was howling through the trees down here. It turned off cold,
too, so it was really a poor day of fishing. Some fish were
caught here and there -- scattered reports but nothing to speak
of. |
