Simple Shrimp Au Gratin Ingredients: 1 small onion, diced 4 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour, rounded 1 1/2 cups milk 1 lb. cooked shrimp 1 small can pimiento, diced Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup grated cheese Buttered bread crumbs Preparation: Saute onion in butter in saucepan until soft. Blend in flour. Add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Add shrimp, pimiento, salt, pepper, and cheese, stirring until cheese is melted. Place mixture in greased casserole. Cover with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serves 6. |
